| Zero was none too happy to be in charge of watching the new influx of rookies. He hated watching over any of them. They were all useless in his opinion. "Next!" The blond yelled to get the next failure in. He was forced to watch over them while they completed the training portion of their exam. Thankfully he didn't have to grade the written part. That was a reprieve at least.
"What's your name?" He asked leaning against the wall and looking down at the clipboard he'd been given to keep track of everyone. If they didn't know their own name then he quickly kicked them out. Unfortunately there actually were some that didn't even know their own name. Whether it was nerves or something else he didn't know, nor did he care.

| X quietly entered the training room, feet slightly dragging. He was probably the least confident of the rookies; even with his head screwed on right compared to the other dimwits, he was far more hesitant than he should be, and the tone of the text proctor didn't help matters much.
"Mega Man X, sir," he replied, standing at attention. He locked his knee joints so they would stop rattling.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero glanced up at X for a moment before writing something on the clipboard. "Your training will begin in ten seconds." He called figuring that was plenty of time to get ready. It was just a basic holographic enemy but they made sure it seemed like a real reploid. Many rookies tested differently on real targets so they tried to make sure they knew how the reploid would really fight.
"Your objective is to either kill or subdue your target." He practically sounded like he was giving an order. He'd said that when there was five seconds left for X to be ready. Though looking at the rookies written scores he could get in if he did absolutely nothing. The thought made him grimace.

| X took a moment to get in position and change his arm into the X-Buster, waiting for the training session to start. The hologram appeared and immediately opened fire; the rookie dove out of the way, showing impressive speed, before firing a shot at the hologram. However, it wasn't nearly as strong as it could have been. It was clear he was aiming for the second option--subduing the target instead of killing.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero continued writing on the clipboard as he watched. More holograms appeared and although the training only lasted about thirty seconds it got harder rapidly. X wouldn't do being a Hunter. He didn't fight to kill. He had a feeling X would rather talk things out instead of fight. How annoying.

| X continued firing restrained shots, not aiming to kill any of the targets. He had a feeling he wasn't going to score well, but this was just how he was programmed. He refused to kill.

| Zero waved his hand signalling for it to be shut off. "That's enough." He scribbled a few more this onto the paper grimacing at X's final score. "I'm not sure how but you made it in." He commented before handing X the paper. "C-Rank I'm guessing." He wasn't in charge of actually giving them a rank. That was someone else's job. However, he did have a feeling that X would be labeled a Hunter even if Zero didn't think he deserved it.

| X changed his hand back to normal, cringing slightly. His hand burned from using the buster so much. He went over to the proctor and took the paper, reading the information. "Thank you, sir," he said, relieved that he'd made it.

| Zero hummed slightly in annoyance noticing that X was seemingly in pain from using his buster. What kind of Hunter got hurt just from using their weapon? He shook his head. It wasn't his place to tell them they couldn't join. "Take the paper down that hall and to your right. They'll tell you your actual score." He ordered pointing towards a door to his left. He hoped this one somehow got lost on the way there.

| "Yes, sir." X held the paper in his good hand and walked down the hall, ignoring the snickers of those who had been watching the test. It didn't take much for him to find the room, at which point he set the paper in front of the examiner. He glanced down at his wounded hand, which was shaking, a bad sign.

| Some of those snickering were actually waiting to take the test themselves. "Let's go scrap heaps! All of you are taking it together!" He ordered annoyed. He was annoyed because he knew at least three would fail. In his mind failures didn't get the opportunity to laugh even if X had been rather bad.

| The examiner quickly leafed through the papers before shaking his head slightly. "Welcome to the Hunters." He commented before stamping the papers and putting them away. "You are a C-Class Hunter. Someone will show you around shortly." He stated looking back up at X as if asking if he had any questions.
