| "Whew...that's the last of that run."
X stretched and popped his back after setting a very large crate of parts in a storage room. He'd been rather busy as of late, trying to get more parts from Neo Arcadia to reconstruct things. So far, the base was now fully refurbished, with an infirmary, command center, three training centers, and many large bedrooms for residents. There was a room for every resident so far plus a few extras.
"Now I think we can get started on everything else," he commented to himself as he exited the storage room, bumping into Axl in the process.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Axl was running through the datapad where he had accumulated information on his copy chip. There were still several files left untested, but with all the new recruits, he had neglected the testing. Bumping into someone, he nearly dropped the datapad. "Oh! Sorry! I wasn't paying attention. Oh...hi X."

| X flipped through some of the newer forms Axl had managed to test and label, surprised with some of the results. "These are definitely going to come in handy," he commented. "I see you've gotten into the dragon and griffin forms......uh?" He squinted, noting a Japanese title. He took a moment to decipher the kana. ".....Neko-shounen?" he asked, confused. "Did you test this one?"

| Well, that was obvious. "Good idea," commented X. "She'd probably beg you to turn into that form again. I almost wanna ask what it looks like but I don't want to out of respect for you not liking it much."
Axl wasn't the only one working on his shapechanging abilities though. "I'm getting a bit better at taking on different forms. I've gotten the hang of a dragon-wing form and a Pegasus-wing form, and I've almost gotten the hang of that merman form."

| It was barely even two minutes of flight before exhaustion caught up to X. His wings vanished as he started to plummet back down toward the sand, visibly struggling to keep his eyes open.

| Axl would notice rather quickly that X was becoming ill. He was burning up, his skin actually scalding compared to the desert air. His breathing was labored, and he was trembling ever so slightly. The control panel was "in" a rock wall about two kilometers away; deactivating the simulation would open the door.

| When Axl got back over to X, who was leaning against the wall, the first thing he would notice was that the elf looked slightly younger than usual. He seemed a bit shorter, his face subtly more rounded, hair a little shorter. He was still unconscious.

| By the time Axl had gotten X to the infirmary he had gone from the appearance of a seventeen-year-old to an eleven-year-old, and he was still aging in reverse. His bodysuit now looked a bit too loose on him, there was a gap between his body and pelvic armor, and his shoes were sagging because of his feet shrinking.

His reverse aging suddenly accelerated as he began to glow brightly.

His systems were registering a small error in his shapeshifting, probably from his hasty mid-flight transformation. Shaking his head, he took off his helmet to release some pressure from his head and set it to the side before picking X up. "Can you understand me at all?" he asked the cradled baby.

| Blinking at X, Axl grinned. "You can play with my hair in a bit. I need to get you dressed first. Ah-ha!" he cried in triumph as he found the box of infant and toddler clothes and accessories. "Uh, would you need? I'll put one on just in case." he stated as he grabbed a diaper, a bottle of baby powder and a dark blue onesie for the infant before taking him to a table to dress him.
((Is it bad that I just felt massive feels for that image?))

| The redhead watched X curiously as he put the diaper on (took him a few times, but he got it) then put the onesie on him. He smiled when he was done and leaned in to nuzzle the baby's nose. "All done, little one. You can play with my hair now."
