| Iris skipped down the halls, keeping an eye out for a certain red-clad blond Hunter, as she didn't want to run into him just yet.
Just as she was about to pass by the training room, she stopped when she saw a young boy, trying to use two daggers. It was obvious he was having some difficulty, though he was learning.
Iris wanted to say hello, but remembering her manners, she decided to wait until he was finished.
I don't want to fight... But if I want to protect the ones I love and care for, then I will do whatever it takes to do so.

| Axl jumped and stabbed at an imaginary enemy, keeping his focus like Zero taught him too. The better he got with the daggers, the sooner he'd get promoted to using a short sword.
'The blade is like an extension of your body. Feel its movements like they were your own.' That is what his friend had said.
Feeling a pinch in his arm, he stopped and took a breath. He had been training for two hours, so he should call it quits now and get started on sorting out his copy chip's databanks. Putting the daggers back in the weapons locker, he turned to see a female reploid with long brown hair standing in the doorway.
"Oh...hi there." he said, blushing when he realized she had been watching him train.

He blinked at the shorter lady. No memory files were triggered so he might not have known her. But her name...
"Your name is familiar, but I don't know you. Are you friends with X or Zero?"

| She was hiding something, but Axl wasn't one to pry unless necessary. "Sounds like you're in a similar situation to me, except I apparently willingly put myself into hibernation to get rid of a virus. One of the end results was getting hibernation sickness, which locked away most of my memories." he explained with a slight blush.
Hopefully she didn't ask about what else the hibernation did. He was still sorting that out himself. But if she inquired about it, he'd tell her.

While it was good that she felt better, Axl was a little upset at being laughed at. It was a little insulting and rude, even though he knew the reason behind it. As payback, the younger decided to mess with the girl a bit.
"You're mean, Miss Iris." he pouted, before activating his copy chip. Finding one of the forms he had deemed earlier as safe, the black reploid was soon replaced by a black cat with white ears, white front paws, and green eyes. He turned so his back was towards Iris and looked like he was sulking.

| The younger panted as he tried to get his breathing back under control. It took him a minute to actually be able to speak clearly. "When X found Zero and brought him back here, I didn't really see much of him until he wandered in on me training with a short sword. Him and I train together so neither of us get rusty when new recruits arrive to help with the rebuilding efforts."
He paused to take another breath. "One day in the Command Room, it was just X, Zero, and I discussing which areas to rebuild first. X was motioning over to a table with some documents he wanted me to get. He...accidentally brushed over my stomach and I flinched horribly. Zero apparently liked tickling X, so now he does it to us both whenever he can."

He took a breath and scratched his scar nervously. "During my century long hibernation, my databanks were flooded with foreign DNA data. It's labeled in a way I don't understand. So I was wondering if you could help me figure out what each form was, since its file name is just a bunch of numbers that means absolutely nothing to me and most of my memories are locked anyway, so I'm pretty much lost."

Trotting over to a shelf by the weapons locker, he picked up a data pad he had set there earlier. Returning to Iris, he handed her the item with a smile.
"X and I put a copy of all the new files on this data pad and we've been changing their labels as I transform into each one. He said having a complete list would help both my memories and some of the construction efforts. So we'll change them together as we figure out who or what each file is."

| "Okay, Mis- I mean Iris." He replied with a slight chuckle.
Going to the middle of the room, he looked for the file that him and X had stopped at. "Activating file number: 2-1-1-3. Transform!"
He felt his body rearrange and turn into a short, penguin style reploid with black and yellow armor and yellow trim. It had a red rocket booster on its back and two red orbs on its head.
"A penguin who is adapt at utilizing snowy slopes and can make icy blocks with his breath. Any idea who this reploid was?" Axl asked after he analyzed the data readings from the file's activation.

| Iris giggled at Axl's new look. After a little looking, she found the file that matched Axl's current transformation.
"Yes, actually. This Reploid was known as Chill Penguin. He was created for exploration at the South Pole. However, he went Maverick after becoming bored with his job." Iris explained. She re-labeled the file Chill Penguin.
I don't want to fight... But if I want to protect the ones I love and care for, then I will do whatever it takes to do so.

| Axl hummed. There was that word again. Maverick. Zero had explained it to him once, but the only thing he could ever remember about it was that it was a title given to someone who hurt others. He'd ask about it later when more memories were unlocked. Relabeling his own internal file to Chill Penguin, he dismissed the transformation and went to the next one.
"File number: 2-1-7-A."
He felt his form shift again, but into a taller reploid with wings. An eagle-based reploid this time with blue armor accented by yellow and a bit of red and a black jumpsuit. He had three talons on each foot and a buster on his right arm.
"Eagle-based reploid designed to excel in lightning fast dog-fights and air battles. The buster can produce a high powered tornado burst." he stated, waiting for the identification of the reploid he was mimicking.
I always want to protect those precious to me. Their lives are worth so much more than my own.

As yes, Storm Eagle. From what Zero had once told her, Storm Eagle wasn't actually a Maverick and was forced to work for Sigma.
Iris frowned. How she hated that Maverick...
Moving on!
"This Reploid was known as Storm Eagle. He was the noble leader of the Maverick Hunter's 7th Air Cavalry unit." She re-labeled the file Storm Eagle.

| The boy nodded, dismissing that transformation as well after renaming it. This was like a walk through history and he was the 'history book'. It was...interesting to say the least.
"Next up is file number... 2-1-2-6." he announced as he activated the data. Once the transformation was complete, he felt...odd and a bit off-balance. He was a snail reploid with light blue armor and a large, orange shell on his back.
"This feels really weird." Axl stated, struggling not to fall on his butt. "A snail reploid that uses crystals as his weapon and his greatest asset is his strong defensive shell."

| The copy reploid pouted at the girl's amusement as he morphed back and renamed the file. "I think we'll skip the reploids and move onto the animal files. You're finding this way too hilarious for your own good." he said in mock irritation and a pout.
