Zero grimaced and shoved Vile out of the way, causing the elite reploid to stumble off his initial path towards the new recruit. "I think you have enough punching bags." He stated while somewhat glaring at Vile. He didn't really acknowledge the blue reploid, as he was more concerned about Vile not making him into scrap metal. "You're the reason half the Hunters aren't even that good." He accused, asserting his point by poking Vile in the chest. None of the others wanted to get any better because they feared backlash from Vile.

The new recruit simply watched in confusion at the two quarreling Hunters. Were they enemies? He wasn't sure, but he was too afraid to speak up and ask. Instead he waited patiently for the two to stop fighting.

Zero ducked down out of the way of the attack and began to charge up his buster. "You're so predictable." He said while being sure to keep out of the way of Vile's hand when it went back to the purple reploid. He looked smug, mostly just to piss off Vile more. He stood back up fully and faced the elite reploid.

Zero jumped back, but he didn't avoid being hit. However, he fired off a shot at Vile's knee like he had done last time in an attempt to incapacitate the purple reploid. He cursed as he noticed the damage to his forearm armor. At least it wasn't his buster. "Fair enough." He commented knowing he'd been caught off guard with that one.

The new recruit looked over at the doorway upon hearing it open, noticing the two Hunters from earlier who were fighting. They must have come to see his exam. Whatever that was.

"Megaman X," a voice rang out from an intercom system, "you will now be tested to confirm your starting rank as a Hunter. The test is simple--you are to spar with an A-Class Hunter. Your overall performance and results will determine your rank."

"Zero, Vile," the voice continued, addressing the two A-Ranked Hunters, "would either of you like to volunteer for the exam?"
