| "...Just leave X.." The virus nearly pleaded. He sounded even worse than he looked. Nothing would help him. He knew that, but apparently X was still in denial. If the virus died then Zero would be dead as well. Maybe that was why the brunette was trying so hard to help him. There was no reason for X to actually care about him after all.

| X blatantly refused to leave the virus or Zero. Not when they were in this condition. The brunette was stubborn when it came to helping those he cared about, and, oddly, the virus was no exception. He eventually managed to find an E-tank, but to his dismay it was empty. His hope that he could help them was dwindling quickly.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Virus Zero merely watched X run around the room frantically. There wasn't much else he could do anyway. He found it rather sad that X decided to stay. Especially when he and Zero were both in such terrible condition. There was no way they would survive. The cyber elf should just leave so he wouldn't have to see it. Unfortunately he knew that X wouldn't do that.

| X's panicked search was yielding nothing that could help them. The brunette wound up collapsing on his knees in a sitting position as the tears that had formed in his eyes started to spill over. He was utterly useless. There was nothing he could do to help them.

| X refused to leave once again. He pushed himself back to his feet, stumbling slightly, and walked over to Zero's recharge pod again. He pulled a chair over and sat next to him, grasping the blonde's hand tightly with both of his own. His tears refused to stop, and he couldn't say a single word, but he just...wanted to be there.

| Zero didn't stir when X grabbed his hand, in fact it looked as though he wasn't even breathing anymore. Other than that fact, it looked like he was just sleeping. Virus Zero watched sadly. Seeing X act like that made him start to be in denial as well, though he wasn't sure why. "...He'll wake up soon....right..?" He tried to say, but no sound came out. It seemed his vocal cords no longer worked.

| X cast a rather pitiful glance over to the virus. Even though the virus couldn't speak anymore, he could 'hear' him plain as day from having been infected. "I don't know..." he managed to whimper past his tears.
Dark X eventually flitted into the room as well, having finally found his nii-sama. However, he froze in midair when he saw his nii-sama on the ground, his papa in tears, and his fake nii-sama unconscious. "Wh...what's going on...?" he whimpered.
((I BETTER not be the only person who thinks this song fits perfectly... TT^TT))

| Virus Zero would've sighed, but he was so drained he wasn't sure he could even do that. He did manage to look up at Dark X though. His 'heart' hurt upon seeing the cyber elf. Why would Dark X come in here at a time like this. It made him angry and slightly depressed at the same time. It was a strange feeling that he definitely didn't like. He wanted to tell Dark X to leave, but he didn't have a voice anymore. He couldn't do anything. He could barely move, and he was stuck on the floor, which was now becoming super heated as well.

| X tightened his grip on Zero's hand slightly when he heard Dark X. How could he possibly explain what was happening to one so young?
Dark X changed into his mature form and knelt next to his nii-sama, lightly placing his hand on the blonde's back. "N-Nii-sama..." he stammered, voice starting to break. "Wha...what's wrong...?" It was very clear that he didn't understand what was happening, and that he was rather scared.

| The virus smiled sadly when Dark X went over to him. "You should take X and leave.." He managed to force out, although his voice cracked more than a few times. He just wanted them to leave. He wanted to be alone since he was still awake. He didn't want to see Dark X's face when he faded away, nor X's when the brunette realized that Zero was gone for good. He wanted to die in silence.

| Dark X hesitantly walked over to his papa and gave a small tug on his arm. "...Nii-sama wants us to leave..." he mumbled in a lost, little-boy tone, like a child who'd lost his mother in a crowd and was asking someone to help him. "I think he's tired..."
X closed his eyes as a few more tears ran down his cheeks. He'd forgotten how naive Dark X was. He was still a child. He didn't understand what was going on. The brunette reluctantly released Zero's hand and walked out of the infirmary with the younger elf.

| Virus Zero watched the two cyber elves leave before closing his eyes and heaving a sigh. He actually was tired, unfortunately he doubted that if he fell asleep he'd wake up. He just laid there on the floor, not bothering to try and do anything. After all what was the point? However the image of Dark X and X both crying popped into his mind and made his stomach swirl. He felt like he'd throw up if he could.
He opened his eyes and sighed again. There was no point, but he might as well try. He managed to slowly drag himself over to the pod and barely managed to pull himself up to the control panel. He was weaker than he thought he could ever be. He started messing with the control panel, not even aware of what he was doing. All of his concentration was on standing.

| Barely ten feet from the infirmary, X wound up slumping against the wall and breaking down into tears again, crying somewhat loudly. He was useless. He couldn't help Zero or the virus. They were dying, and there was nothing he could do.
Dark X sat on his knees in front of his papa, wanting to say something to get him to stop talking, but ultimately he started to cry as well out of fear for what was happening to his nii-sama. He was actually terrified for the first time in his life.

| Virus Zero worked as long as he could before he ultimately collapsed, entirely unconscious. He ended up knocking a few things over, making quite a bit of noise. No doubt Dark X and X would hear the commotion and wonder what was happening. Even though he couldn't remember what he'd done in the slightest, he wasn't fading anymore. That seemed to be a good sign.

| Dark X was the first to notice the noise and quickly ran into the infirmary again. X followed close behind. Immediately the darker elf's attention was on his unconscious nii-sama, who he ran to in the blink of an eye. He crouched next to his nii-sama, shaking his shoulder to try waking him. X had gone over to the console to read its display, which had changed.

| Virus Zero didn't stir in the slightest when Dark X shook him. He was completely out. The control panel display was in weird symbols that X couldn't read. It was like the encrypted part of Zero's programming. Speaking of the blond, he was actually breathing again, but it was extremely faint.

| X squinted as he tried to make some kind of sense of the display, but quickly gave up. He was terrible at deciphering encrypted data.
He did however notice a slight rise and fall of Zero's chest. "Z-Zero?!" he practically gasped, rushing to the blonde's side as fast as he could without kicking Dark X or the virus.

| After a moment the unconscious virus turned into a 'mist' and went back to Zero. The control panel was back to normal and seemed to be showing that Zero was alive. Although some of his files might've been corrupted.

| X breathed a sigh of relief and fell back on his rear when he saw that Zero's systems were starting to come back online. A few minor files--namely combat experience--were corrupted, but other than that it seemed he would be okay. Tears of joy were pricking at his eyes, but he wouldn't let them fall.
Not until Zero was awake again.

| Zero awoke slowly his systems taking a long time to fully come back online. He opened his eyes, but quickly shut them again when he saw the lights above him. They were extremely bright to him for some reason and rather painful. He rubbed his eyes to try and get the feeling to go away before turning his head to the right and opening his eyes again. The light wasn't as bad, but it was still painful. All he saw was the control panel though.

| Dark X had been keeping a watchful eye on his fake nii-sama from near the foot of the recovery pod, and when he saw the blonde awaken, he hurried over to his papa. "Papa, papa, he's awake, he woke up~!" he chirped excitedly.
"W-what?!" X was at the pod in a heartbeat, teal eyes locking with blue.
He was right. Zero was awake and alive.
The tears that had welled up finally spilled over.

| Zero finally regained some of his strength and he held X while rubbing the brunette's back. He exported the virus so that Dark X could talk with him if he wanted.
Virus Zero 'appeared' on the floor next to the pod and rubbed his head. He was a little better off than Zero, but not by much.
