| Axl looked through the scope of his sniper, watching as X and Zero made their way through a suspected Maverick infested area. He knew he was an accurate shot, but why was he always the look-out? Didn't he prove himself trustworthy when he helped defeat Sigma?
It was kinda annoying how he tried so hard, but they still seemed to hate him. The boy was so lost in thought that he almost missed the update from the two he was watching.

| "Hey, Axl pay attention." Zero muttered into his communicator not wanting to be heard by nearby Mavericks. He could hear them talking just ahead of where he was ducked behind a wall. He could tell that Axl hadn't been paying attention since the red head didn't respond to what he'd said before. "I need you to take out one of the enemies ahead." He said. He could take out the other since there weren't any others around. As far as he was aware anyway.

| X looked over at Zero from his spot across from him, with his back to the other wall. His spot gave a good vantage point, and there were three more Mavericks waiting for them. He held up three fingers to tell Zero. Axl clearly wasn't paying attention; he didn't warn Zero about them. If they weren't careful, the mission could be compromised.

| "Sorry." he muttered, reexamining the situation. The group ahead of his comrades had grown to 5, with two in a perfect line. "I can hit the farthest one and the guy in front of him with one shot. I'll also be able to get the guy to their left, will you two be able to get the others?" He asked, already lining up the shot.

| "I can take care of the other two." Zero stated while pulling out his sword. It wasn't powered on so it wouldn't draw attention to them. He hated these stealth missions. He wasn't a stealth reploid. He was literally a killing machine. He didn't have a choice. Regardless, Zero looked agitated and ready for a fight, even though he knew he wasn't going to get one. Especially from the two ahead.

| "Your buster is loud." Zero argued, but motioned for X to shoot anyway. Keep that much energy stored up for too long would mess up his systems. He dashed out from behind his cover and decapitated one if the Mavericks while keeping himself out if the way of Axl and X's shots. If everything went smoothly there wouldn't be enough sound or time to alert anyone about what had happened.

| X fired his shot, blasting a hole clear through one of the Mavericks' cores and damaging the other Zero had targeted. "All visible targets down," he reported to Axl. "Axl, are there any more waiting for us?"

| The sniper scanned the area around the two. "None in the immediate area. There's a group of three 25 meters west of your location, but they're walking in the opposite direction. Another squad of 6 visible targets is to the north. I believe they are guarding our objective. It's covered with a tarp and I can't tell what it is from here."
Taking a quick look to the air, he stifled a curse. "Air sentry incoming. ETA: 5 minutes. Hide yourselves and the bodies quickly." he warned.

| Zero quickly grabbed some of the bodies and dumped them in q nearby dumpster. He did the same with the remaining bodies before hiding in one of the buildings. He dragged X inside as well after making sure that it was clear.

| X changed his arm back to normal and ducked into a small alcove in the building, keeping himself hidden from view. There was just enough room for Zero to squeeze into the alcove next to him, and it would keep him completely out of sight of the air sentry.

| Axl watched the sentry carefully as it paused briefly before continuing its flight. Once it was a good distance, he sighed and was about to give them the okay to move, but froze at what he saw.
A D-rex was standing right around the corner of the building, scanning the horizon to the east. "You guys need to get out of there!" he hissed urgently. "D-rex, just east of the building!"

| Zero mentally cursed and looked around. Their escape routes were extremely limited. "We'll have to blindly work our way through the building." He said noticing they were standing right next to a door. It wouldn't be hard to hack and they could be inside before the D-rex spotted them. Any other option left them open to being seen.

| Zero got to work on hacking the door, Axl's words making him work that much faster. He managed to get the door open and pushed X into the building before running in himself. He shut the door quickly but quietly behind him. Thankfully you couldn't see heat through most of the buildings. He just hoped this was one of them.

| Zero tensed up ready to attack the D-Rexs, only to realize that they weren't powered on. They seemed to be in sleep mode, or something similar. He didn't know how mechaniloids worked. He motioned for X to be quiet before sneaking his way past them. He managed to shut down the ones he passed without incident. It only left three on the far left side of the room.

| Apparently one of the D-Rexes on the far side of the room wasn't as sleepy as the rest of them, and the second X stepped on a rather creaky spot on the metal floor, it was wide awake, roaring and waking up the other nine, including the ones that Zero had shut down. Even more started stomping into the area; it seemed they'd stumbled upon a manufacturing plant.
"Damn!" cursed X. "Axl, how fast can you get in here? There's D-Rexes all over the place!!"

| The black reploid was up and morphing his sniper back to his pistols when he heard the first roar. "I'm on my way. I'll be there as fast as I can." he replied, dashing towards the building.
He was halted by a trio of D-rexs and a B-Blader. "You guys need to hold your own. I got a big problem on my end." he informed his comrades before dodging a shot from one of the D-rex.

| Zero pulled out his sword and quickly cut his way through some of the D-Rexes. "Damnit! This is why I don't do stealth missions!" He growled while alternating between dodging and attacking. Some if the mechaniloids landed a few hits, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. He hated missions like this because there were so many things that could go wrong. Besides he wasn't built for stealth.

| X quickly changed his weapon to a fire based weapon reminiscent of a flamethrower as he attempted to take out multiple D-Rexes at once, though with little success. Each time one was destroyed, a few more would storm in and take its place.
"There's too many of them!" he called. "If we don't stop the plant we'll have to retreat!"

| Axl rolled out of the way of yet another missile. He had managed to damage one of the D-rex enough to shut it down, but the other two were now chasing him through the trees as he was trying to make his way to the others. Unfortunately the B-Blader was making it a little difficult.
"Okay! That's it!" he shouted in frustration. Rolling into a clump of trees, he summoned his bazooka and quickly aimed it at the building, searching for the generator. "Guys! Get to the east side of the building now!" he yelled over the comm as he fired a missile at the plant's power source."

| The generator went up in a large explosion, sending shrapnel into mechaniloids and Mavericks who were trying to get into the building. "Aw yeah!" Axl cheered, dismissing the large weapon and dashing towards the explosion, taking out another D-rex on the way.

| Zero was thrown into the wall by the explosion but he regained his composure a few moments later. "I hate these missions." He told X while powering off his sword. Most of the mechaniloids were too busy dealing with the fire in the building to bother noticing them. He climbed out through a nearby window and looked around. There was no part of stealth left in this mission.

| Zero cursed and shot at the mechaniloid with his buster. He didn't use it much anymore because the amount of energy that it used was far too high to use it too often. It was really a last resort type weapon. He was certain that X figured that he didn't even have a buster anymore. Sometimes he actually forgot that he had one himself. Regardless it came in handy when he did need it.

| X was visibly surprised that Zero still had his Buster, having given the blue Reploid his Buster parts back when he protected him from Vile, but the surprise was quickly shrugged off as X started shooting at the Mechaniloid. He was a better shot than Zero, so maybe one of his shots would hit.

| The shots managed to hit two of the wings as it dove at the two hunters, sending the bug into a spiral, smoking and exploding in places. It looked like it had shut down completely with the way its body went lax. Axl smirked at the helpless bug as he continued in his path to his companions. When he was nearly right under it, the bug turned to him...
...and fire the ball of electricity right into his back, lighting up the area as Axl screamed.

| Zero fired off another shot destroying the mechaniloid once and for all before dashing over to Axl. He fell to one knee when he reached the prototype though. Two back to back shots had drained a whole lot of energy from him. He picked Axl up off the ground slightly so that his wound wouldn't feel all that much worse just from him laying on the concrete. They would have to retreat. There was no reason for them to stay there. "X, have Alia transfer us back to the base." He called since the low energy made it impossible for him to use long distance communications.

| X followed Zero over to Axl and crouched next to him, examining his wound. It was rather serious, having burned a good deal of his back. He brought one hand up to the side of his helmet. "Alia, transport us straight to the infirmary, now!" he stated. "Axl's down!"
The three Hunters were immediately sent to the infirmary, where Axl could get proper medical treatment.

| Zero had pulled up a holo screen to check Axl's systems and was rather confused by the messages. Well, mostly the last few. "Original form? I thought this was his original form." He commented staying in a crouched position on account of his low energy level. "I'm not sure if you should hook him up to a pod. Considering how strange his systems are acting." He sounded rather doubtful, which was rare. Normally he knew what to do, or was at least confident in what he was doing.

| X sprinted back to the room. "No good," he reported. "Not even ONE Lifesaver is here. We just gotta hope for the best...w-wait, what's going on with his systems?!" He was alarmed at the countdown and the fact that various functions were locking up.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero sighed and rubbed his face. "I don't know. I don't know his systems at all. It's probably better if I don't mess with anything. I might make things worse." He stated while looking up at X. A message popped up warning him of his low energy levels. He could stay online for maybe twenty minutes longer without needing a recharge.

| Zero blinked in surprise. "I don't know if I can deal with this." He stated somewhat jokingly. He probably could deal with it, but that didn't mean that he particularly wanted to. He changed from a crouching position to actually sitting and looked up at X. "Can you hand me an energy canister?" He asked while looking up at X. There were plenty in the room, but he couldn't even stand at the moment. He looked back down at Axl for a moment before picking the small reploid up and holding him.

| X's head cocked to the side as the blue Reploid let out a surprised and confused, "Huh?" at Axl's new form. This? This was his true form? An infant?
He handed Zero an energy canister, then sat Indian style in front of Zero, looking at the tiny baby. He looked...cute. Like a human infant. It was rather shocking to see something like this.

| Zero purged the energy from the canister into his systems. He pushed up the energy output from his core so that he was radiating enough heat to keep Axl warm. Or at least comfortable enough until they found a blanket or something. He could keep this up for a little while. "I had forgotten why I don't use my buster until now." He half muttered not really talking to anyone. It was strange taking care of Axl.
