X had been busily assembling a recharge pod with parts he'd salvaged from the former Neo Arcadia when he heard a familiar voice echoing from the training room. He chuckled and shook his head, knowing full well who it was, then stood and smoothed his robes. The elf walked down to the training room, where he saw Zero sitting in the middle of the room with a tiny black kitten on his lap. X chuckled and picked Axl up, petting him gently.

"You certainly are a loud one, Axl," he commented. "I heard you on the other side of the base."

The younger of the three was have a blast. He had never been this close to his friends before. Never had the privilege to. It was...exciting and made him happy that he could participate in activities like this with his precious people.

Squirming his way up, the black neko lounged on Zero's shoulders as he watched X get tickled. His laughter was soothing, like nothing could go wrong. He remembered that it was rare for the blue hero to laugh, but when he did, it lifted everyone's spirits.

It made Axl a bit upset that he still couldn't remember everything and he berated himself for even sealing himself away. His friends needed him during the Elf Wars and he had abandoned them. What kind of coward leaves their friends during such a critical time of need? He...he needed to be alone.

Jumping down, he darted towards the door, trying not to let the angry tears fall. X and Zero had enough to worry about. They didn't need to add his own problems to the mix.

The younger reploid choked on a sob at Zero's reprimanding (at least to him) tone. He dismissed his transformation and dove into Zero's chest, his helmet getting knocked off in the process. Shaking his head, the boy tried to take deep breaths to calm down, but his breath kept catching on a sob. A headache was forming as he worked to calm down, but was unsure as to why. Until a status message popped up.
