Footsteps were resonating in the corridor.Slow footsteps.A green silhouette walked out,light reflecting on his armor.
"..."
The General looked at the sky quietly.He activated his jetpacks and flew to the roof of the building.He sat on the edge and looked at the sky again.
"..."
The Reploid let out a little sigh.
"And now?...Peace has been restored...But I wonder if we are still useful then..."
The green Reploid thought on why he had survived Omega's explosion.Neo Arcadia was rebuilt after Weil's attack.
"Zero...Idiot...I didn't saved you for you to die again...Idiot..."
Harpuia clenched his fists.His friends were missing.The friends he spent his life with.He didn't know if they survived Omega's explosion or not.He was the only Guardian left at Neo Arcadia right now.He lost everything.No one to talk to.No one to protect.No reason to fight.The General wondered why he was alive.

"Woah." The black reploid stumbled in his flight. He was in his Winged Form and working on how far he could fly. Ever since waking from hibernation, he had been rediscovering everything about his body, the new and old. He only had about half his copy chip sorted out, but it got boring after a while, so he decided to go out and test his new flight capabilities. The only things he had to work on now were his stability and flight.

Lowering his altitude, he skimmed across the rooftops, trying to stick his landing. Unfortunately he still had too much speed and ended up rolling, again. He slipped off the roof, but managed to catch the edge. Pulling himself up so he was half on/half off the roof, he noticed a green reploid on the rooftop to his left.

"Hi there. Who are you?" he called in greeting.

I always want to protect those precious to me. Their lives are worth so much more than my own.

The green Reploid's thinking was broken.
"...You really don't know who I am?" Harpuia said,unable to understand how someone couldn't know him.
"Wait..." The General suddenly remembered that one day,he did some research in X's personal archive database and found data on a ancient black Reploid.
"(His body is different...But I'm sure he is...) Are you Axl?" He finally asked.

"That's me." he chirped as he worked his way back up on the roof before gliding over to the other reploid.

"Stick the landing, stick the landing, stick the- oh crap." Another rolling landing. Luckily, he didn't hit his new companion nor did he fall off the roof. He fluffed his wings as he sat up and folded them behind his back.

"You never told me your name. I can't just call you green reploid. I could call you 'Wing-head' but that's rude and it wouldn't really suit you anyway."

And with him remembering next to nothing about his past, it was nice to have others around to brighten the day. Or just have him brighten their day.

The copy reploid frowned. How was he suppose to answer that without knowing who he was?

"Actually, yes. I don't remember anything about me and I sometimes think I'm more of a burden than help to X and Zero. The snippets of memories I do have...aren't really that pleasant. So I wonder if I really have any purpose left in the world."

He shook his head. "But I try not to let it bother me and help where and when I can. And I'm there for the others whenever they need me. So I'm creating my own purpose by helping them. Does...that make sense?"

Axl pouted. This guy was getting to be a real stick in the mud with his gloomy attitude.

"But clouds do have a purpose. They carry moisture to areas that need it and they shield those on the ground from the blazing sun. Their purpose might always be immediately needed, but they are there for those that need them."

He stood, stumbling back a bit as his wings pulled him off balance, and gave the green reploid a determined look. "Like the clouds, you have a purpose. It may not be immediately required, but you have a purpose all the same. So how about we give you something to do that would help someone in need?"

The black reploid followed rather easily. He wasn't sure if it was because the other was going slow enough for him to follow or if he could fly with these wings faster than he thought.

Looking down, he scanned the ground in wonder before returning his sights to his guide. Everything looked so different from up here. It was pretty awesome. Then the elder reploid started wondering what happened in the desert to upset Harpuia.

Flying down in a circle, the copy reploid leaned back to reduce his speed. Putting his legs slightly in front of him, he braced himself for impact. He hit the ground too hard again as he was forced onto his hands and knees. "At least I didn't roll this time." he grumbled, shaking his head.
