| Zero shifted so that he was laying on his back in the grass with his head on X's lap. He managed to keep Axl from moving too much so hopefully the infant wouldn't wake, but that was a hit or miss half the time. He yawned and closed his eyes after he had done that.

X yanked his hand back and looked down at it. A blackened char mark streaked his palm; when he pulled on the pistol it apparently caused the trigger to pull.
