| X woke up shortly after Zero did and put his armor on. He peeked into the kitchen for a moment. "I'm gonna go for a walk," he called. "I'll be back in a little bit." He wanted a little time to himself to think and rid himself of those memories.

| X kept his weapons disabled for the time being; he left them off for the duration of their vacation unless they trained, as even deactivated they would simply burn up more energy. Completely disarming himself would prevent that.
As the blue Reploid walked through the city, he accessed his memory files and promptly deleted anything relating to Zero's "primary directive", editing the memory of the first time he saw those words to where they just seemed like gibberish on the panel. By the time he was done he'd completely forgotten why he was so upset, and started to walk back to the base.
As he passed an alley, however, a smaller, human-sized Maverick grabbed him, wrapping what seemed to be a tentacle around his throat and pulling him into the alley. X managed to turn on his communicator to its first preset frequency--Zero--and screamed as loud as he could.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero jerked from the sudden noise before putting his armor on and sprinting out if the base. He quickly looked up the location of where the communicator had gone off. He arrived there as quickly as he could and looked around hoping to find X somewhere.

| A humanoid Maverick with metallic tentacles coming from her back was waiting in the alley. She had a total of eight, but all but one were jointed more like legs, like an arachnid. The last tentacle was wrapped tight around X's throat, holding him in the air. The blue Reploid was struggling to get the tentacle off of his throat, practically writhing in the Maverick's hold.

| X sat up and rubbed his throat. Something felt different. He coughed, clearing his throat like a human would. His voice sounded a bit different.
"What happened?" he asked. He immediately brought a hand to his mouth. His voice now sounded much more mature.
((I imagine that he had the girly X4 voice prior to this. At this point he has the Maverick Hunter X/Day of Sigma voice.))

I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.
