| X simply walked over to Zero and slumped against him with his head against the blonde's chest. The sadness, sorrow, and pain Dark X was feeling was being passed on to him, and he felt incredibly depressed.

| "He...he doesn't understand it..." the brunette eventually whimpered, voice breaking ever-so-slightly from tears he refused to let fall. "He still cares about the virus...he doesn't know why he would betray him like that..."
X brought his arms around Zero tightly, clutching the fabric of the blonde's shirt. His shoulders were shaking slightly from withheld tears.

| Zero rubbed X's back to try and soothe the brunette, even though it wasn't really him that needed to be comforted. "As impossible as it'll probably be we should get them to talk to each other." He said knowing that the virus was hurting too, just to a lesser degree.

| X knew how impossible it would be to get the two to even look at each other again. Dark X didn't want anything to do with anyone anymore and only sulked on the roof in silence. No doubt the virus was acting similarly.

| "I will." Zero said before walking off down the hallway. He knew where the virus was thanks to their connection. He was gone for roughly twenty minutes before partially limping back to his room. The virus had gotten him good, but he'd managed to 'convince' the other blond to go talk to Dark X.
Virus Zero walked up to the roof grumbling under his breath. He had to go talk to Dark X otherwise he'd end up trapped inside a pod unless Zero needed his systems to be fully functional again. How annoying. He glanced around the roof looking for the cyber elf.

| X silently walked to Zero's room and sat next to the blonde on the bed, staying nearby in case Zero needed anything.
Dark X was curled up against one of the watchtowers on the roof of the base, still crying. It was still raining rather heavily, but his tears were clearly visible--they were black. Upon hearing footsteps approach him, the elf cringed away from whoever was walking over.

| Zero went about repairing himself in silence. He was grateful of X's presence but didn't say anything.
Virus Zero made his 'aura' solid and made it so it was above Dark X, shielding the crying cyber elf from the rain. He didn't say anything however. He didn't know what to say. He couldn't even look at Dark X. Although whether it was out of shame or something else he didn't really know.

| Dark X looked up in confusion when he noticed that the rain was no longer falling on him. He noticed a pinkish-purple aura floating over him, then, looking to his side, noticed his nii-sama.
No. Not his nii-sama. A virus. Nothing but a virus.
He couldn't speak to him. He'd lied. Why should he speak?

| After a moment Virus Zero spoke. "....I'm sorry." He muttered still unable to actually look at Dark X. "I knew if I told you the truth you'd run away back to X and Zero." He said trying and somewhat failing to explain to Dark X why he'd lied. He was actually rather lonely. It wasn't like anyone liked him, he was the Maverick virus after all. They always became friends with X and Zero instead. He didn't know how to properly interact with anyone, so that was probably why too. He had no reason to try and kill X, or anything else anymore. What good would it do? The area around the base was practically dead anyway.

| "Wh--why did you lie...?" asked Dark X, stammering and hiccuping. He looked over to the virus, cheeks stained from black tears. "I--I was a-a baby...y-you didn't h-h-have to lie a-about it..."
It was true, really. When he was little, the virus could simply tell him who he was, instead of lying to him and saying Zero wanted to hurt his papa, but instead he lied to him and tore his world apart in the short span of two or three minutes. That wasn't saying much, since Dark X was only alive for a couple days at most, but still.

| The virus pushed his hair back to get it out of his face since he was currently drenched and closed his eyes. "Because I didn't want you to run away." He stated somewhat simply. That really was the only reason. He was convinced that when he grabbed the cyber elf that Dark X would've ran away if he had told him the truth. He should've just told the truth and let whatever would've happened, happen.

| "Wh...why would I run away...?" Dark X's voice had gotten a bit more stable, but it still shook slightly. He didn't quite understand. Was the virus just scared that he would leave? He was scared then, yes, but that didn't mean he would just run away from him.
The elf brought two of his wings up over the virus, stretching them so they reached, and shielded him from the rain as best he could.

| The virus shook his head and backed away a few steps. It was partially an answer to the cyber elf's question. It was obvious he was unsure, though about what wasn't quite as obvious. "I could probably never explain to you why I lied." He stated before turning away from Dark X. It looked like he was going to go back inside the base. The aura stayed above Dark X continuing to shield him from the rain.

| The virus had managed to find a room on a floor above where X and Zero's rooms where and went into his somewhat messy room. He'd just thrown everything in there before Zero came and argued with him. He grabbed a towel and pulled his arm away from the cyber elf before drying off Dark X's hair.

| Virus Zero continued to dry off Dark X before wiping the black tears away. "Stop crying Dark X." He said. It was obvious he didn't like seeing the cyber elf cry. He'd never really had anyone he cared about so it was a little strange trying to take care of the cyber elf now that he was technically grown. It was probably glaringly obvious that he felt a little awkward, just because he wasn't sure how he was supposed to act.

| Virus Zero frowned when he started to look through his basic programming. Something wasn't quite right, but he couldn't exactly figure out what it was. He started trying to mess with his programming to figure out what was wrong with it, but before he could he changed again. He wasn't a little kid, or a teenager. No, now he was a woman. He nearly choked when he looked down at himself. This wasn't right at all. "Looks like my gender codes were messed up." He mumbled while cursing himself for trying to fix it. He'd ended up triggering the codes instead.
