| Virus Zero walked over to the sleeping brunette a bemused smirk on his face. This would be too easy. He changed his appearance so that he looked exactly like Zero and kneeled next to X wondering if the cyber elf would wake. If not, he'd just go ahead with what he'd planned, if so, he'd drag things out a bit.

| When something blocked out the sunlight that lit up the insides of X's eyelids, the brunette woke up slightly, blinking a few times. He looked up at what blocked the sunlight, realizing that it was Zero. He smiled sleepily. "Oh...did you find anything useful..." he asked, slurring just a little.

| Zero's grip was tightening at an agonizingly slow rate, as X could still breathe, though it was now becoming a bit of a struggle and his breathing was now coming in audible gasps. But the look on the blonde's face was what scared X most. It was like he held no remorse for what was happening.

| Virus Zero tightened his grip enough to completely block off X's air pipe and remained like that until the brunette passed out. He found it amusing that X was more frightened by his expression than what was actually happening, but he kept his expression the same.

| The virus gathered a memory from when Zero and X were first Hunters together. He wanted to mentally destroy the brunette. Finding something he could use he leaned down so that his face was about a foot away from X's. He wanted to keep his leverage so that the cyber elf couldn't move his hands. "You're a failure X. I've always been disappointed in you ever since you failed to attack Vile." He said his voice cold. He managed to sound like Zero when the blond reverted back to his commander like state of mind.

| Virus Zero let go of X the moment the brunette passed out. He got up and threw the cyber elf over his shoulder before walking back into the base. He carried X to the small transport bay and laid X on the ground. When Zero came back he'd find X there, or the brunette would wake up when he got off the chaser, and be afraid of him. He would monitor X until Zero came back though. The cyber elf's heartbeat was rather weak.

| The virus hid himself when he saw X move and heard the chaser draw closer. This would be interesting.
When Zero got close and saw X on the ground he stopped the chaser about five feet away and ran over to the unconscious cyber elf. "X!" He called kneeling next to the brunette. He shook X by one of his shoulders gently. He was alarmed by the bruises on X's neck, but would ask about it later.

| X let out a weak groan at the stimulus and opened his eyes, blinking in confusion. A blood vessel popped in his left eye and there was a small blood spot on it. He looked around a little, trying to figure out where he was.
When he saw the blonde, he let out a frightened cry and immediately scurried backwards away from him, though he didn't get far before his back hit the wall.

| X completely froze up at the contact, as if everything just locked up from fear. That was probably the only thing that had stopped him from bolting immediately. The tears in his eyes that had formed when Zero got there spilled over, though whether they were tears of fear that Zero would hurt him again, sadness that Zero had done such a thing, or relief-slash-joy that Zero didn't try to hurt him, he wasn't sure.

| X was still too hesitant to speak to Zero after what had happened. He could tell that he wasn't dreaming when that had happened; he had the bruises and his throat hurt terribly, and he couldn't have done that to himself because the handprints were way too big.
Why was Zero acting so kind to him again all of a sudden? After what happened earlier...after telling him he was disappointed in him all these years...after trying to choke the life out of the brunette and looking BORED with the action...why?

He had reverted back to how he was around people he didn't know. He felt like he didn't know the cyber elf huddled up against the wall, so he went about the work he'd designated for himself trying his best to ignore how hurt he felt.

| X didn't move from how he was sitting even when Zero walked away from him. The brunette was still too scared to even move.
However, something didn't add up. He was at the caverns...and Zero had said he'd already found salvageable supplies... So why was he in the transport bay and Zero was unloading supplies from his chaser?

| After a few minutes X stood up. At first he'd considered walking over to Zero to apologize, but Zero was angry at him. That wouldn't end well. Instead he quietly started walking back to his room, feet dragging slightly. He'd just lock himself in his room for a while. Maybe he'd wither away, then Zero wouldn't be hurt by those accusations anymore.

| X looked over at Zero and quietly walked back over, sitting near the chaser but keeping a bit of a distance from Zero. He started sorting out parts according to what they belonged with, grouping them accordingly.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero was forced to crawl completely up under the chaser so he couldn't keep an eye on X, but he could hear the brunette working so he figured he could just go by that. Unfortunately he put a little too much force into trying to get something loose and ended up busting one of the oil lines, causing him to get drenched in it. He crawled out from under the chaser and coughed and spit out oil. That wasn't a pleasant taste.

| X looked up at Zero upon hearing him cough, noticing the blonde's skin and hair streaked with black. He reached up to wipe the oil off, but then hesitated and returned to his work. He was too hesitant to even touch him.

| Zero actually stared at X for a moment. However his gaze quickly went elsewhere, namely to a towel to at least wipe off his face. Was X still scared of him? He really didn't know why X seemed so hesitant. He sighed and crawled back under the chaser to fix what he'd broken.

| After a few more minutes X had completely sorted all the supplies Zero had found. Not surprisingly it was more than what X would bring in on a single trip, since he didn't use a chaser. Instead he just sat there in silence with his hands folded in his lap. A few tears ran down his cheeks.

| Zero finally finished the repairs and slid out from under the chaser. He felt like he'd taken a bath in oil and sand, but ignored the feeling for the most part. He looked over at X noticing the tears. "Why are you crying?" He asked concerned. He would've hugged the cyber elf but he didn't want to get oil all over him as well.

| X didn't answer Zero, mostly because he didn't really hear him. He wiped his eyes with the backs of his hands, trying to dry the tears, only for more to take their place. What was originally just quiet crying quickly turned into silent sobs.
