| X managed to brush off most of Zero's hair so that it wouldn't get tangled or knotted. He was laying across the blonde with one arm still around his waist and the other laying near his head. His cheek was against Zero's chest.

| Zero woke up a few hours later to find them laying in a completely different position than before. He was now on his back and X was laying halfway on top of him with his face buried in his neck. Apparently X had grabbed some of his hair while they were sleeping as well since some of it was draped over the both of them.

| The kiss was enough to wake X up the rest of the way, and when he pulled back he was still smiling. He half wondered if they would finish what started in the cavern, but then again Zero seemed hesitant about it--so did X, actually--so he wouldn't ask unless Zero wanted to.
