| Zero had to keep himself from laughing when he saw X. He failed a little. He'd heard the loud thud and had glanced over his shoulder at the blue reploid. X's reaction was rather entertaining. "You said I couldn't work all night so I made sure I wouldn't have to." He stated still sounding slightly amused.

| X was still staring in shock. "It...it......it WORKED!!" he exclaimed, running over to his friend. "You look nearly human now!" He said "nearly" because he still had a notably mechanical body.

| "I haven't figured out how to fix that." Zero commented referring to how his body looked. It was still fairly good for a first run. "I messed up a few times but I figured it out regardless." He said before fixing a few circuits in his forearm. He'd managed to mess up some of his circuits but thankfully that was the extent of the damage. Especially since he'd worked on himself.

| Before X could stop himself, he'd reached up and ran his fingers through Zero's hair. It was even silkier than before. "How in the..." He was dumbstruck. "I-is it okay if I try?"

| Zero was a little surprised by X's first instinct, but didn't bother saying anything. "I'll have to do some quick repairs on the pod, but it shouldn't take longer than five minutes." He stated before walking back into the room and fanning out the remaining smoke. "I still have to do a few tests, like make sure it's water proof and such." He commented while fixing the pod he'd built a few hours earlier.

| Zero shook his head. "Keep all your armor on. You can take off pieces it's already finished with while it's working on something else though." He added before powering the pod on fully. Even though it was made out of scrap parts it only hummed half as loud as the maintenance and recharge pod.

| Zero instructed the pod in what to do at each step. All in all the entire process only took about thirty minutes and didn't hurt at all. Actually, it didn't feel like anything happened at all. Other than the strange feeling of hair underneath the helmet. "Okay, you can get up." He said before turning off the pod and looking at X.

| X had closed his eyes when the process started, listening to the soft hum of the pod as it worked. When Zero gave him the all-clear, he sat up, noting that his head felt funny. He pulled his helmet off and ran his hand over the top.
The look on his face when he realized he had hair was priceless...

| Zero covered his mouth and stifled his laughter when he saw X's face. "It has a similar construct to my hair." He commented running his hand through the shorter reploids hair. It was just as soft as his own. "Take off your armor so we can make sure everything's right." He said stepping back slightly. It was still technically a prototype after all.

| X actually relaxed quite a bit when Zero ran his fingers through his hair. That felt rather nice.
Upon being asked to remove his armor, X set his helmet down next to him, then pulled off his gauntlets, then his boots, and finally his chest armor. Much to his surprise, X looked very different than Zero. He was notably smaller and slimmer.

| "I didn't think I'd be this small without my armor," commented X. Usually when he removed the bulkier parts of his armor he was still rather big. Without all his extra armor, he was built more like a mid-teen, more suited for his mental age.

He looked more like someone who was in their mid twenties that worked out maybe twice a week. He gathered up his armor and walked into his room before placing it in a closet type thing. He used it on occasion before, but never had much use for it until now.

| X gathered up his own armor and followed Zero. "This feels weird," he commented. "I feel a lot lighter than before." Without his armor, he felt like he weighed about as much as an average human. It would also be weird sleeping; he didn't feel exposed, per se, but it still felt rather strange. And things would probably get a little strange if he ended up sleepwalking into Zero's room again.

| Zero took X's armor and set it in the closet as well before stretching. "I like it." He commented even though he knew he still weighed about as much as a car. He definitely wasn't the lightest built reploid, but he wasn't a walking tank either. He scratched his head and looked at X again. "I'm not sure if we should let the others see us like this." He stated since he didn't want to do a bunch of upgrades for the base, and also he thought some might see it as a sign of weakness and try to attack him. The recruits were still like that unfortunately.

| "I agree," said X when Zero mentioned showing their upgrades to the base. "Plus it's still a prototype so it wouldn't be good to suddenly upgrade everyone and all of a sudden find out something's wrong with it." The brunette sat on the bed. "But it is a rather effective upgrade," he remarked. "It'll make repairing our armor a lot easier if we don't have to wear it."

| At one point while Zero wasn't doing anything while waiting for the burgers to cook, X walked over and carefully tied his hair back to keep his bangs out of his face. He had to brush his own hair behind his ears a few times, but other than that he had no real problems with it.

He brought set X's food down in front of him before sitting across from the brunette. He paused thinking about what X had asked. "Hm.. They should. Technically the boosters are in your boots anyway so there shouldn't be a problem. I just might have to fix them a little more is all." He said thinking about how his own were set up.

| X took a bite of the burger, finding that it was absolutely delicious. He also noticed that things tasted a little different now. Maybe the upgrades modified his senses as well. "Well that's good," he commented about his boosters. "This just feels so...odd. One more step closer to being more human." He tapped his chin. Perhaps the next step up would be human-like skin?

| Although Zero didn't exactly like the thought of being human, he did like being able to take off his armor. He ate his burger without saying anything more slightly caught up in the thought of being human. It was a strange one that he'd never really considered before, even though at the moment it was completely impossible. He didn't doubt that one day it would be possible though, he just found it highly unlikely.

| "I started thinking about how we could train like this," commented X. "The training centers have those sensors that Hunters connect to their bodies to monitor things. What we could do is practice agility, speed, and strength by having one of us dodge the other's attacks for a set time period, then switch it around. It would also give us an idea of the differences in our strength." To this day X was still uncertain of how much stronger Zero was.

Looked like they were training in an A-Class room since he couldn't lock down the others. "Do you want to dodge or attack first?" He asked figuring he'd let X choose. | "We should do a run with our armor on and then with it off. It would be easier to compare the differences, though we don't have to do them both today." Zero suggested before going back into his room and putting his armor back on. It took a moment for him to get situated with his helmet as the hair underneath it was a strange feeling. | "Well, would you like to do it today?" asked X. Since the higher-ranked Hunter was the one who could access the training centers it was up to him whether or not they would go train today. He started fumbling with his armor, starting with the boots. They felt oddly clunky now that he could remove them.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| "We'll train a different day with our armor on." Zero said noticing that X's armor must've been quite a bit heavier than before. It could've been from the upgrade, but he didn't really know. "I'll take a look at your armor later." He said figuring that he might be able to figure out what was wrong, unless X just wasn't as strong as he was.
