| "Yeah," replied X. He'd have to get the hang of wearing his armor again somehow, after all. What better way than to try dodging Zero's attacks? "The setup will be no weapons for the first part. At least that's how I pictured it. Second part, no weapons or armor."

| "Okay. Have you ever trained in CQC?" Zero asked while punching in a code on the training room door and walking inside. He knew he hadn't trained X in that, but maybe the blue reploid trained on his own. He pulled up the controls for the room and put it on lockdown so no one could see in or come in while they were training.

| "After you started to help with my training," began X, "I started practicing a little. I can only do basic CQC and hand-to-hand though, since I was never properly trained, but being used for target practice made my dodging reflexes quite sharp." He had to get good at dodging or else he wouldn't survive an encounter with Vile.

| A small shock let Zero know that he definitely wasn't completely waterproof, and that meant X wasn't either. He quickly changed the training rooms settings so the area wasn't flooded anymore and watched as water drained out of his chest. That seemed to be where the leak was. He looked over at X to see if it was the same. "That wasn't pleasant." He commented as he was shocked again before all the water drained out.

| X was actually coughing water up instead. It seemed his upgrades didn't tolerate water well. Either that or he forgot to switch his breathing intake. He sometimes forgot to do that. "Ugh...no kidding..." he agreed, wiping his mouth off. He noticed some water draining out of his left side under his chestplate. Seemed he was also a little leaky.

| X managed to lean back enough to evade the punches, then brought his arm up to block the kick. He was pushed to the side pretty far from the impact, but to his surprise he kept his balance.

| Zero followed up with a few more quick punches before switching to more powerful ones. They were slower and more obvious, but it probably wouldn't be too good if they landed as he wasn't exactly keeping his power output in check like he usually did while training.

| One of the quick punches connected with X's jaw, knocking him off-kilter. Before he had a chance to recover, one of the stronger ones connected with his midsection. Something in his stomach cracked loudly, and he coughed up what looked like oil.

| "I-I'm fine..." X croaked out before coughing again. This time it was only a small splurt of the black fluid, but it still caused him to lurch forward slightly as if vomiting. He wiped his mouth off with the back of his hand, smearing the white glove with black. He could wait to be repaired; he couldn't let just a small injury stop him out on the field.

| Zero went back down to the training room to test out the enhancements he'd made to the upgrade. It seemed to work since he didn't get shocked and didn't leak water when he drained out the training room. He walked back to his room and tossed his armor onto the floor before getting a towel to dry his hair out.

| Zero didn't budge even with the loud noise. He was snoring slightly with one of his feet on the ground and the other hanging off the side of the couch past the armrest. One of his arms was draped over his stomach and the other was hanging off the couch as well almost touching the floor.

| X walked back over to the maintenance pod where they got upgraded and waited for Zero.
