| X carefully set Zero in his recharge pod and set it so he would be able to sleep and fully recover at a slow pace--he wouldn't wake up until tomorrow. X would hold down the fort while he recovered.

| Zero was immediately forced into sleep mode when he was set in the pod. Even though he didn't want to rest, his systems desperately needed it. That much was obvious since he'd gone out the second he'd been put in the pod. However, not even a few minutes later he started having nightmares. He really didn't understand why reploids had dreams. Mostly since his were always nightmares.

| X had gone back to his own room to recharge, pausing to fill out the small stack of papers on his desk. To his surprise it was only work designated to him. How odd.

| Zero jolted awake a few hours later actually breaking through the top of the pod. He was shaking slightly and breathing rather hard. His systems were overheated slightly, but not as bad as the last time. The glass shattering was rather loud and it caused him to flinch though he didn't even feel some of them dig into his neck. What scared him most was that he couldn't even remember his dream.

| X snapped out of his half sleep at the sound of shattering glass and quickly ran back to Zero's room. He spotted the blonde Reploid sitting in his recharge pod, having broken the top of it when he sat up. Some glass shards were lodged in his neck and he was breathing heavily. "A-are you okay?!" X asked, notably worried.

| Zero nearly changed his hand into a buster to fire at X, but managed to stop himself when it finally registered who it was. He looked over at X before looking down at himself. He had glass shards all over him. What did X ask him? It took him a minute to understand what the blue reploid had said. "I don't know." He half muttered before pulling the glass out of his neck. He didn't respond to the pain even though it did hurt quite a bit.

| X managed to open the top of the pod in a way that kept the edges of the glass away from Zero, then examined the fresh holes in his neck. They weren't too bad; a simple mending job and he'd be fine. But Zero's mental condition concerned him.
