| "I was busy." Zero stated bluntly before turning away from X and fixing up his room. He was annoyed with the mess he'd caused. Which reminded him of the broken pod. He went into the next room the pod was in and proceeded to break off the extra pieces that were still in the pod itself. The top of it was now completely open.

Zero laughed and the lights flashed far brighter than they should've gone for a moment before shutting off again. The sudden flash of light allowed X to actually see the room. Some of the rookie reploids were dismantled and hanging from the upper part of the control room while another was just a few feet away from him. There was unaltered fear in his eyes and a pool of oil was around him. There was oil dripping from the balcony as well.

| X let out a choked yelp when Zero grabbed him by the throat, and didn't react in time to keep from getting slammed into some machinery. He pushed himself back up to his hands and knees, wincing when his right shoulder shifted too much. The shoulder plate had a large dent in it. He looked up at Zero with notable fear in his eyes.
There was no way this was his friend.

| By the time X had awoken again Zero had already taken out four more rooms and was on his way to the fifth. He found it highly entertaining that no one even noticed. The base was so disorganized and disconnected that no one even noticed when a control or communications room was taken out. How sad.

He doubted that it would even scratch the red Reploid's armor, as it had been reinforced with his various upgrades, but it should have at least been enough to distract him. | Zero made the mistake of not moving when X started shooting at him. The last few shots that were drawn from his core were rather powerful and even broke through his armor. Cracks formed across his chest armor and a rather large hole just a few inches to the right of his core. The blond's core was glowing a bright blue in the dim light. He changed his hand into a buster and charged at X when the blue reploid had stopped firing.
I'm not arrogant, but I don't make mistakes. I just cut down my enemies.

| X managed to force his arm back up, level with Zero's head, and charged a shot. He didn't have enough time to fire though, and even if he did...
He just couldn't do it.
He couldn't hurt Zero.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero pressed his buster against X's chest and fired off a shot not bothering to charge it. "Shoot X! No hesitation!" He growled while starting to actually charge up a buster shot.

| Even without charging the shot, Zero managed to throw X into the wall across the hall, leaving a serious scorched black mark on his chest. Part of his armor had melted slightly and a faint glow from his core was visible. He was too dazed to lift his buster arm again.
