| Zero smile and put his hand back at his side. "Come on, there's a place near the middle where we can relax." He said in a slight attempt to get X from being shy again. After all he didn't want the one person that was actually his friend to be afraid of him. It was a little depressing that X was his only friend after he thought about it, but he pushed the thought aside as best he could for now.

| X smiled a bit and followed Zero toward the middle of the park. He wasn't sure why, but seeing Zero smile felt...reassuring. The only other people to ever smile at him were Commander Sigma and Dr. Cain, but even then, they didn't have that same aura of friendliness that Zero had. It was a bit strange...was this what it was like having a friend? Not feeling completely nervous around someone?
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero went over to a rather large oak tree and sat down underneath it before resting his head back against the trunk with his eyes closed. It was peaceful here, and he liked that about the park. He also liked the fact that X had agreed to come with him. Otherwise he probably would've just worked on his day off like he always did. He had been wanting to see the park for a while, but he didn't exactly have many friends and didn't see a point in coming by himself. That was just how he was for some reason. After a moment he opened one of his eyes and looked up at X. "It's nice here isn't it?"

| X followed Zero to the oak tree and stood with his back against it, looking up at the sky through the leafy branches. It was sometime in late spring, almost summer, so not a single branch was bare. It was a rather beautiful place, quiet and secluded. He was quite glad Zero invited him to come with him to the park; if he hadn't, odds are the blue Reploid would have been stuck doing paperwork again.
X looked down at Zero when he spoke. "Yeah, it is," he replied. "It's...different."
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero sighed contentedly. It was nice actually having natural oxygen into his systems that wasn't completely polluted. Although the air outside the park was clean enough, there was an obvious difference between inside and outside. He ended up actually sighing a few moments later. "I wish everyone in the base could be like everyone out here." He admitted looking off to his right a pond where some birds were washing themselves. He wished everyone got along and were actually nice to each other at the base. It would make things run so much smoother.

| "Me too," agreed X when Zero mentioned everyone being like the people in the city and the park. Everyone was always happy and kind and it looked like there wasn't a problem in the world. It was a complete opposite to the hell they called Hunter Base, where disrespect and scorn were the norm.
The blue Reploid sat next to Zero, looking around at the park. A squirrel scampered up and perched on his knee, chattering cutely.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero chuckled when the squirrel came up and sat on X's knee. "Seems you attract animals." He stated referring to just how many animals had come up to him. Zero had stretched out and laced his hands behind his head and had one leg outstretched while the other he had so he foot was resting flat on the ground with his knee bent. He wished he could just stay in the park for the rest of his life. Now he didn't want to go back to work tomorrow.

| X chuckled. "Well, at least it's better than birds nesting in my hair," he joked, recalling those cute little birds that hid in Zero's hair. He was jealous; X didn't have hair under his helmet. Zero had the best hair in Hunter Base.
X yawned a little. This place was very calming. He wished he wouldn't have to leave, but all good things do have to end.

| Zero rolled his eyes and snorted as if the thought annoyed him, but he was smiling. He couldn't really guess as to why the birds had decided to hide out in his hair. He was convinced that if left there long enough that they would probably make a nest in it. He definitely didn't need that happening. It would take forever to clean out his hair, even longer than it did normally just after missions.
He noticed X yawn and wondered if the blue reploid was getting tired again, or if it was just the calming air of the park that was relaxing him. Although Zero wasn't much for taking a nap, he barely slept enough as it was, he almost did want to sleep. Or sleep as much as a reploid could.

| X leaned his head back against the tree and closed his eyes. He was happy for once. It felt good to relax for once, instead of having mountains of paperwork piled up on him, and seeing Zero smiling actually made him feel much better.
"What time is it...?" he asked, feeling too lazy to check his own display.

| "10:06." Zero said after checking for himself. All in all they'd spent about two hours walking to the park and talking to people. Surprisingly a lot of people had stopped to talk to X. Most of them Zero had talked to on a regular basis, or at least tended to run into when he went out. The blue reploid looked rather embarrassed when they praised or complemented him. Already most people knew it was him and Zero that had taken out the Eregion and Crabs-Y before they caused too much damage. Even some of the working reploids stopped to talk to them, which was a rather rare occurance in itself.

| "Mm." That was X's only response to the time. They still had a good deal of time to relax.
X was rather surprised at how many people were actually talking to him and being friendly to him. He usually wasn't the most social Reploid in the city, but everyone was nice to him and knew him already. They all knew that he and Zero were the ones who took out the Mavericks yesterday. Maybe that was why? Either way, it was a bit odd for X to interact with so many people.

| Zero yawned and closed his eyes. They didn't have to be back at the base until around six. Even though it was their day off they still had to be at the base at a certain time. He found that a little annoying seeing as how it didn't allow things to run any smoother, but he had no say in the matter. It was just easier to go along with the rules than to try and argue with everyone in a building where no one liked him. He was a little surprised at how relaxed he felt. He'd never felt this relaxed since... well, ever.

| X wound off drifting off into a peaceful sleep. This place is so quiet and peaceful, and X felt like he could just sleep forever here. The blue Reploid wound up leaning over to the side, and his head wound up against Zero's shoulder without him realizing it.

| Zero opened one of his eyes and looked down at X who was currently leaning against him. He could tell that the blue reploid had ended up falling asleep already. He chuckled softly and put one of his arms around X's shoulder that way the blue reploids head wasn't halfway leaning against his shoulder and halfway against the tree. It was probably a little more comfortable that way too.

| Zero rubbed one of his eyes with the heel of his hand and glanced around. None of the humans were paying them any mind. Which was a little strange, but he didn't question it. Although he liked talking to the citizens, he also liked not having to answer questions all the time.

| X woke up after about half an hour of sleeping against Zero's shoulder and blinked a few times, trying to figure out why he was leaning over. He noticed an arm around his shoulder, then that his cheek was against a white armored shoulder.
"WAH!!" yelped X as he sat up like a bullet. "S-s-sorry!" he stammered.

| Zero had started to doze off as well, but he didn't actually fall asleep. However he was quickly awake when X bolted to a normal sitting position. When he realized nothing was wrong however he rubbed his eye as if to wake himself up. "No need to yell." He muttered somewhat sleepily. He really didn't see why X was apologizing.

| Zero thought about something else they could do. After all, they could only just sit in a park for so long. He was glad they had gotten to see it though. "Hey, do you wanna go get something to eat?" He asked somewhat unsure if X actually ate from time to time like he did. Usually the only reason he did was because some of the humans would offer him food or something to drink while he was out. Not wanting to be rude, he'd accept it and eat it while talking for a bit. Sometimes he did like to just eat though. Particularly when he wanted to get away from the base. He had a small cafe type shop he always went to.

He was a bit nervous about what would happen if he tried to eat human food, since he didn't think Reploids COULD eat, but since Zero suggested it, maybe it wouldn't do anything.

| "Well it's never done anything to me. Some of the other Hunters eat too, so I would assume it wouldn't do anything." Zero stated remembering he saw that some of the lower Hunters place 'bets' and whoever loses has to go buy breakfast for everyone the next day. He figured if the 'copies' of X could eat, then why couldn't X himself? Regardless, he wouldn't force the blue reploid to eat if he didn't want to.

| "Well, it sounds kind of interesting..." remarked X. "And I've been wanting to try coffee ever since I saw Dr. Cain drink it... Do you know of a good place we can go?" He knew some of the other Hunters could eat, and since everyone--with the exception of Zero--was based on him, most likely he could eat and drink too.

| Zero nodded. "There's a cafe that I go to sometimes. They have pretty good coffee." He said before standing up and offering his hand out to X. He was glad he'd remembered the cafe. It gave them something else to do since he hadn't really planned out anything for the day. Since the blue reploid had never eaten anything before he wondered what X would actually like. He went through a small list in his head of things for X to try.

| Zero started walking out of the park and towards the cafe. He thought for a moment. "Hm.. I have a feeling you'll like sweet things." He said not really sure why he did think that. It just seemed like the blue reploid would like sweets more than anything. "But you can try whatever you'd like to." He stated, basically offering to pay for whatever X would order. It wasn't like he didn't have the money, and the owners tended to give him a discount anyway so it wouldn't be that bad.

| "Sweets?" X tapped his chin. What did "sweet" taste like? The blue Reploid had no idea what anything tasted like, really, so he didn't know how to compare it. Maybe he would like sweets.
"O-oh, thanks," said X, realizing that Zero had just offered to pay for their brunch. He didn't want to burden Zero too much, even though he didn't have a lot of money, but he would at least try to pay for some of it, or even just buy something small. X was actually rather happy to have a day out--he was talking to new people, seeing new places, and now he got to try human food.

| Zero nodded before going into a building that was on the corner of the street. He couldn't exactly describe something that tasted sweet, especially when X had never eaten human food before. The blue reploid would just have to experience it for himself. The cafe was somewhat small, but it had a cozy feel about it. The owner greeted Zero and X when they walked in and the blond responded in a friendly manner before going over to one of the booths and sitting down.
One of the waiters came over and handed them menus before leaving to give them time to order. Zero glanced over the menu quickly. "All these down this column are sweets." He said while pointing it out on his menu. "And these are the different kinds of coffee they have." The cafe only had about five types of coffee, but that was enough for X since he was just trying it out.

| X looked around the tiny cafe before responding to being greeted, then followed Zero to a booth. The blue Reploid was rather surprised; there were humans AND Reploids in the cafe. Even the little girl from earlier saw him and spoke up. "Hi-hi!" she chirped, waving. X smiled and waved back before Zero pointed out what to look at. He saw something that he knew Dr. Cain liked: cake. There were so many different types and flavor combinations though--X didn't know which to choose. First he'd try the coffee. He saw the flavor that Dr. Cain liked, Hazelnut. He hoped it was good.

| The waiter nodded before going back to the kitchen to place the order. He brought back their drinks a moment later however.
Zero drank some of his tea and looked at the coffee X had ordered. He wasn't really one for coffee, but he did like hazelnut coffee for some reason. To him most coffee wasn't all that appealing in taste. Regardless, it wasn't all that bad. Their food arrived a few minutes later.

| When the waiter came back with the tea and coffee, X was a bit excited to try the coffee. He took a small sip, minding the heat.
"Ooh! This is really good!" he exclaimed. He wished he knew how to describe various flavors so he would know what kind of taste the coffee had.
Then when the waiter came back with their food, X was struck dumb by the cake he ordered. One bite and he was in heaven.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero chuckled when X ate the cake he ordered. He didn't have to ask to know that the blue reploid loved how it tasted. Seemed like he was right about X liking sweets. "Wanna try the cheese danish?" He asked while holding out his fork that had a piece stuck on then end of it. He wasn't sure if X would like it, but he had a feeling he wouldn't hate it at the very least. Regardless, it was good for X to try out different foods. That way he'd know what he preferred.

| X had finished about half the cake when Zero offered him a piece of danish. "Um, sure," he replied, taking the fork and eating the piece of danish that was on it. It was an unusual taste, one that he found he did like, though not quite as much as he liked the cake. "Wow, that's pretty good," he commented, taking another drink of coffee. He was now very glad Zero had offered to take him out to eat--he was trying new things all day.

| Zero nodded and drank some more of his tea. "Is there anything else you'd like to try from the menu?" He asked willing to let X try anything he wanted. He took his fork back and ate the rest of his food. He kind of wanted something else to eat as well, but he wouldn't order something else if X didn't want anything either. To him it would be a little rude, but maybe that was just him.

| X smiled back at Zero. It was probably the first time Zero had ever seen him truly smile and mean it. He was happy to be able to spend a day out with a friend.

| That little comment, while bearing a bit of Zero's usual cockiness, was reassuring and filled X with joy. He'd finally found someone to call a friend. He laughed a little. "Fair enough," he agreed before eating one of the brownies. They tasted even better than the cake.
After the two had finished eating, the waiter came back with the bill. It actually wasn't nearly as much as the prices on the menus totaled up to. X looked at Zero in confusion.

| Zero finished off his tea and pulled out some money. He noticed the confused expression X had. "They give me a discount since I come in here so much." He said before putting the money on the table plus a somewhat generous tip. He stood up and checked the time. "What do you wanna do? We still have an hour and a half until we need to be back at the base." He said before looking back at X. He'd been dragging them everywhere and didn't know if the blue reploid actually had anywhere that he wanted to go.
