| After a few moments the rise and fall of X's chest, which was a bit shaky due to his systems overheating and cooling rapidly, slowed and deepened as he went into sleep mode. The display changed to show his condition.
ENERGY ROUTER INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL.
ENTERING SLEEP MODE.
ESTIMATED TIME TO REAWAKEN: 03:34:20
Three hours, thirty four minutes, and twenty seconds. That was how long it would take for X to fully recover, which thankfully wasn't long to a Hunter.

| Relief washed over Zero when he saw that message. He'd probably just get finished repairing himself by the time X woke up again. He went to work fixing up his armor and the cables that had been damaged in his arms from the fight while keeping an eye on X to make sure that nothing else popped up.

| Zero would've tried to catch X, but that probably would've ended up being a bad idea. "Sorry I kinda took over your desk. I wanted to make sure the upgrade would do what it's supposed to." He said noticing he had all kinds of tools strewn about on X's desk. He fixed some small cracks on the armor before putting it back on and turning to face X to make sure the blue reploid was really okay.

| Zero shook his head and wagged his finger at X as if scolding him slightly. "Living up to other people's expectations will only leave you disappointed in yourself. If you live up to your own expectations, then you actually have goals you can achieve. It'll let you actually feel good about what you've accomplished too." He stated. In a way he was scolding X, but he was also helping him. At least, that's how he saw it.
The blond smiled softly. "Though, you're the only one I can actually be myself around too." He added. Either he had to be a complete hardass on the other Hunters, or overly polite to his superiors. Even the citizens he analyzed everything he should and shouldn't say; what he should and shouldn't do.

| At the scolding X started to turn reserved again, but his spirits suddenly lifted at Zero's words of advice, and a smile came to his face when Zero finished speaking and he saw that the blonde was smiling as well.
Zero was the only one that was willing to help the blue Reploid, aside from Commander Sigma though the latter helped in a more military manner. Zero was more on his level, speaking to him like an equal and not as a superior Hunter. And Zero was the only one X could comfortably call a friend.
X had always hidden behind a mask. Not in a literal sense, but in a figurative one. He tried his hardest to ensure he wouldn't disappoint anyone, but it seemed to take a toll on his health; he was always working himself too hard.

He didn't want anything to happen to X, after all, he was his only true friend. He knew that if X kept working himself to death then he'd end up in the junk yard.
It had always been obvious to Zero whenever X was working himself like crazy just to live up to the others expectations of him. Whenever the blue reploid did that he always looked tired, but determined. Sometimes he'd seen when X literally passed out in the middle of the hallway because he'd been working too hard.
I'm not arrogant, but I don't make mistakes. I just cut down my enemies.

| X almost froze up when he remembered what had happened. He lightly placed his hand on his chest, over his core. "Y-yes sir..." he half-mumbled. That was probably the worst experience ever; he never wanted to go through it again.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| "You'll be fine." Zero assured when X immediately placed his hand over where his core was. It was rather rare that ever happened in the first place as only truly traumatic events would cause anything to do that.
