| X tried hard to think about when that could possibly have happened. He didn't recall anything like that. The closest he could remember was the first time he'd seen Zero go Maverick, many years ago, but the room wasn't on fire...

| X tightened his hold on Zero slightly, realizing what Zero saw. It was his last moments on Ragnarok. It had to be.
"...Zero...do you remember someone there...?" he asked, almost whispering. If he did, and it was Weil, then that would confirm it.

| "I.. There was something outside.. I think it was outside.. Everything was burning so it's hard to tell.. But it looked like someone in some strange thing.. I don't know what it was.." Zero said trying to remember. Someone was there, he knew that much. They looked like they were in a pod or something of the like. "I was.. in space.?" He questioned realizing that it ended with him looking at the black sky above him and seeing burning shrapnel shooting past him.

| So it was true. Zero had remembered his last moments aboard Ragnarok.
X held Zero tightly, resting his head on the blonde's shoulders. He'd hoped Zero wouldn't remember that; no doubt it was the most painful thing he'd ever endured and lived through.
"That was..." he began in a very quiet tone. "...That was Ragnarok..."

| Zero shuddered. "Ragnarok.?" Zero asked. He grunted and quickly gripped his head in pain. Images flashed through his mind. Going through the station until he got to Weil, fighting the crazy 'human', and the station finally falling apart after Weil was defeated. He remembered he had been pulled back by the earth's gravity. Along with pieces from the station itself. However everything went black after fire started to engulf his entire body.

| "Z-Zero?!" X became alarmed when Zero gripped his head. He was visibly in pain. The blonde was remembering that terrible experience. All X could really do at the moment was hold the blonde close and stroke his hair gently in an attempt to calm him down a bit.

| "It...it's alright, Zero..." whispered X, who started rubbing Zero's back to try calming him. "What matters is you're here, and you're alive..."
He knew how Zero felt. Just by the tone of his voice and his not moving, X could tell Zero was at the very least a bit scared. And it was understandable.
But X knew what happened. When the Ragnarok broke apart, there was one particular "shooting star" that was burning far brighter than the others, and it was moving at a different rate. That was Zero, who was miraculously still in one piece.

| Zero was silent for a little while. "...A lot of my armor came off. My helmet was the first to go. Then my forearm armor cracked off. And my vest. And then I hit the ground." He winced as the memory came back to him. The memory of seeing the ground rush up to him rather quickly. The sound of so many sirens going off in his head. He had to reroute energy at least three times before his extremities would work somewhat decently. He idly wondered how the blond scientist had held up while he was gone. He had no idea how long he'd been gone.

| Zero rubbed X's back. The brunette looked peaceful while he slept. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep as well, but the images just kept assaulting him when he closed his eyes. Some even while his eyes were open. It wasn't anything he hadn't dealt with before, unfortunately, so he could manage.

He doubted he'd be able to wake up from anything; if the virus snapped himself out of stasis they were sitting ducks unless Zero could somehow wake him up.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero finally became tired enough to where his processor wasn't working right and passed out. He'd wrapped an arm behind X's shoulders when the brunette had moved as close as possible to him. After a little while he started snoring lightly.

| X woke slightly from the rise and fall of Zero's chest. He looked up at the blonde, noticing that he'd finally fallen asleep. The brunette smiled before resting his head against Zero's shoulder again and falling back asleep.
