| X was about to ask if it may be a portion of the virus left in a dormant state when the spot started to glow a bit. He tensed up with a yell of pain as the veins around the perimeter extended along his chest, stopping when they were at his collarbone.

| Though moving hurt terribly, X wound up rolling onto his side and clinging tightly to Zero, gripping the blonde's shirt tight with his free hand. His voice was barely audible from the pain and weakness, but he did managed to whimper something to the effect of "Help me, I'm scared" while burying his face in Zero's chest.

| The veins had extended further, now reaching X's jawline, down to his elbows, and all the way down his abdomen. They pulsed with dark red and purple energy. The pain had gotten to the point that he had gone completely numb. X felt terrible, both physically and mentally. He'd driven Zero away right before this had all started, and when they were trying to reconcile now the brunette was practically dying in his friend's arms.

| In all honesty, Zero wanted to somehow make X go to sleep. At least that way he wouldn't be fully awake for everything that was going on. He wouldn't tell X that though. | Zero had shifted while he slept causing some of his hair to fall into his face. He didn't notice however and he was obviously dead asleep. He didn't really dream about anything, it was just a peaceful dreamless sleep.

| X leaned up and lightly kissed Zero on the cheek, then curled back up and went back into a half-sleep. If Zero woke up, he'd wake up too.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero woke up slightly when X kissed him on the cheek but didn't actually move until a few minutes later. He straightened up and stretched. He had a slight crick in his neck from how he'd been sitting. He yawned and popped his neck hoping it would make it stop hurting slightly.
