| X looked up at Zero when the blonde shuddered, knowing full well why. He was worrying about why he was created to begin with. The brunette sat up and placed his hands on Zero's cheeks, turning his head to face him. "Hey. Don't worry about stuff like that," he said in a somewhat stern tone. "What you were made to be and who you are now are two different things, and this is the Zero that you are now. The Zero I know."

| Zero looked at X, concern still obvious in his eyes. "But if my systems revert to before I went into hibernation, won't that wake the virus?" He asked, hoping that it wouldn't, but more than certain that it would. Even though it had been sealed away, that didn't mean it couldn't come back. He really didn't feel like dealing with it again. Then again he never felt like dealing with it.

X sighed and lightly headbutted Zero's forehead, looking him in the eyes. "We'll deal with that whenever it happens," he stated in a gentle tone. He was a little irritated that Zero would dwell on something like that, but that was just how the blonde was. "And I assure you, nothing will change. Just because I'm a Cyber-elf doesn't mean that I won't do everything I can to get you back to normal if it does rear its head again."

| Zero sighed and closed his eyes when X headbutted him. "Okay." he resigned. He could tell X was a little annoyed, which was a deciding factor in him not arguing further. He usually didn't bother arguing with X when the brunette was annoyed. At least when he was in a mood like this.

| ((I just went with a basic one for X.))
X moved his hands away from Zero's face and folded them neatly in his lap. He realized that his robes were still slightly damp from the rain and him falling into the lake, and they smelled slightly. He needed a bath, but he didn't want to be rude to Zero and tell him to leave so he could change.
But he was still too shy and the bathroom in his room was too small for him to change in.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

Zero opened his eyes again and noticed that X was thinking about something. No, the cyber elf wanted to say something, but wouldn't. He really didn't know when he'd become so good at reading people, but it was rather useful when it came to X. His processor hummed softly as he tried to figure out what X wanted on his own. After a moment he was sure he knew what it was.
"You want to take a bath?" He questioned. If that was the case he could just go and train a bit. It would give him an opportunity to test out his repairs anyway.

| X looked back up in surprise when Zero spoke, then chuckled meekly. "You can read me like a book, can't you?" he asked. "Or do I smell like lake and that tipped you off?"
He didn't want to say out loud that he wanted to go take a bath, because that would be the same as asking Zero to leave, which he felt was rude, but Zero guessed it himself.

| Zero chuckled. "Well considering I smell like a lake too, I don't think that really matters." He stated knowing that he hadn't actually cleaned up. He'd probably have to flush his systems to get the smell to fully go away. "I've just become good at reading people since half the time they refused to actually tell me what was going on." He said while stretching. It had been a little annoying most of the time, but he'd gotten used to it.
He could use a bath himself. They'd probably need to wash the sheets on X's bed as well.

| "Well, the room next door has a shower and bath you could use," said X, pointing to his left, which was where the "next door room" was. "Since the place is pretty empty you can probably use it and nobody would be in there. Heck, you could live there if you wanted."
X immediately clamped his hands over his mouth. He just basically asked Zero to move in next door to him.

| Zero just smiled when X clamped his hand over his mouth. "I'll take a look at it." He said before standing up. "Do you want me to wash your sheets?" He asked noticing that spots of it were wet from the water that was still on them. He figured he could just put them in a washer before taking a shower and then dry them after.

| X hadn't even realized that the sheets were damp. "Uh, sure," he replied. "Thanks."
The brunette got off the bed and removed the sheets from the corners where Zero wasn't sitting, so he could bundle them up in the middle of the bed. He'd probably spray his bed with some Febreeze or something to get the lake smell out.

| Zero gathered the blankets and left X's room. He managed to find the laundry room on the first try. The layout was very familiar to him, but he wasn't really sure why. He ignored the thought and started the washer with the blankets inside. He glanced around the room wondering if there were any spare clothes in the room. He knew that since barely anyone was at the base that they wouldn't have a stock of clothes, but there should be some.
He managed to find a button up shirt and a pair of dress pants that would actually fit him. He went back to the room next to X's and noticed that it really was empty. He grabbed a towel and started up the shower, wondering if he should clean off his armor first. His helmet and boots were in X's room though. He'd just have to clean them later.

| X waited until Zero left before grabbing a towel from the closet in his room and tossing it onto the bed, then setting out some simple clothes: a pale blue tank top with a white stripe running down either side of the chest and a pair of black shorts. He set them on his bed, then removed his shoes--which were a bit muddy--and set them on the floor next to the bathroom. He grabbed the towel and walked into the bathroom, then turned on the water to let the tub fill.
He started to think back a ways. When did he first realize he had feelings for Zero? It wasn't when they first met--he didn't believe in "love at first sight"--but it was long before the Elf Wars. Maybe it was when Zero came back after he died protecting him from Sigma? No, it was before that...

| Zero removed his armor and went to work cleaning it off. It took a little while but he finished and quickly rinsed off his body suit before getting in the shower himself. He washed his hair twice just to make sure that it was clean and flushed out his systems with the water. He got out and dried off, not bothering to use the time to relax, and put on the clothes he'd found. Drying his hair didn't take too long, but when he looked in the mirror he was a little surprised. His height and build had reverted to how it was when he was a Hunter. He didn't think his systems could do that, but apparently he could.
He gathered his armor and set it out in the living room area of his new room so that it could dry off before returning to the laundry room and putting the blankets in the dryer. He wanted to clean his helmet and boots but he was certain that X would hurt him if he just barged into the cyber elf's room.

| X removed his robes, gloves, and pants and carefully stepped into the tub once it had filled up with water. He sighed contently at the warmth, wanting to just stay there for a few hours. His halo flickered a few times from the change in how X felt, but he ignored the zappy humming sound for the time being.
Once he was certain he was clean and no longer smelled of lake--instead smelling like cherry blososms from the only body wash he could find at the time--he got out of the tub and dried off, then wrapped the towel around him and left the bathroom. He quickly changed into the tank top and shorts, pausing afterward when he noticed Zero's helmet and boots still lying on the floor. He couldn't help chuckling.

| Zero figured that by the time the blankets were done drying that X should be out of the bathroom and decent. He noticed he'd forgotten to button up the blue shirt, but he ignored it for the most part, just deciding to do that later. He tied his hair back up after finding a new hair tie and waited for the dryer to ring.
When it did, he took the blankets out and made sure they were dry before gathering them and taking them back into X's room. He didn't bother knocking. If the brunette wasn't done by now then he fell asleep and wouldn't know anyway. He dropped it on the middle of the bed before fixing it up.

| X had carried the helmet and boots into the bathroom to clean them, leaving the door open because he knew that Zero tended to barge into his room without knocking. "I'm in here!" he called from the bathroom.
He finished cleaning all three pieces of armor and carried them out, focusing on the helmet to shine the gem some more. "I figured I'd clean your armor since you left it in here and I wanted to do something for you since you washed my sheets," he explained. "That's okay, right?"
He looked up at Zero, and his jaw dropped. The blonde was much taller and more muscular, the physique he had back during his days as a Hunter, before he was upgraded to a smaller form. That, and his shirt was open, revealing his abs.
The armor--and X--all hit the floor with a thudding, clanking sound.

| Zero managed to catch X before the cyber elf hit the floor and laid the brunette on the bed. He shook his head and chuckled before picking up his helmet and boots. He took them to his room, laying them next to the rest of his armor before buttoning up his shirt. He left the top two unbuttoned and went back into X's room to make sure the cyber elf was all right.

| X sat up rubbing his head when Zero returned to check on him. He was blushing a little. Back when they were Hunters, it was practically impossible to remove their armor, as it was actually what made up their limbs and body. The upgrades prior to and during the Elf Wars gave them more humanoid bodies UNDER their armor, making them seem a bit more human. As such, he'd never realized that, if Zero looked human, he would be built like that.
"Um...wow..." he stammered, still blushing a bit. His face felt hot. "You look...um..."

| "Sexy? I can tell." Zero teased. He'd never seen X faint before. At least not when he wasn't damaged or fighting. He found it rather amusing. Although he found it a little strange they were both wearing blue. He realized that he wouldn't be able to wear his newer armor anymore. He'd have to either change it, or make a whole new set. That would be rather time consuming.

| Zero brushed X's hair out of his face gently. "It's cause of your mood swings." He half teased. Sometimes X went from being happy, to sad, to angry all within twenty minutes. The others didn't want to think the brunette wasn't serious and then he actually be and vise versa. Some of the others were more scared of X than Zero, which the blond found a little surprising.

| X wound up slamming his face against Zero's chest in a motion similar to a headdesk. "It's the curse of having human emotions..." he grumbled. He was fully aware that some of the Hunters were once actually more scared of him than Zero. It helped keep some of them in line whenever Zero went missing, but he didn't like having people being scared of him.

| "Or too many. Sometimes you were on the same emotional level as a teenage girl." Zero stated, although he'd thought better of doing so. Unfortunately sometimes his mouth ran faster than his speech filters. Oh well, X could hit him if the cyber elf wanted to. He still thought it was kind of funny though. Sometimes he forced the rookies to go update X on situations just because they'd fight over who had to do it.

X could sound innocent and happy, but it was very easy to see if it was a facade and if it was, it was best to run.

| A tiny eyetwitch was the only sign that would tell Zero that he struck a nerve, but other than that he didn't react much to what Zero had said. At least he didn't say he was a girl.

| X actually laughed at that. He remembered how often he exploded on the rookies, as well as how often he heard Zero's laughter down the hall afterward when he saw the rookies.
X rested his head against Zero's chest again. They'd poked fun at each other, so now it was time to just relax.
