| X shifted slightly to get comfortable while laying on top of Zero. The blonde was a very comfortable pillow. X was slightly embarrassed though. Zero's physique had returned to how it was when he was still a Hunter, but X was still small and frail. He was like a princess compared to Zero.

| X wound up with a somewhat comical but mostly cute image in his head, relating to how much smaller he was compared to Zero. He pictured himself asleep, with Zero holding him in one arm like a child. The image was enough to make him smile a little.

| X's peaceful sleep was immediately disrupted less than an hour into his dream when it turned into a nightmare. It was absolutely awful.
Hands tightening around his throat. A sadistic, twisted grin. Fiery red eyes. His own voice frantically trying to call out but being cut off.
X snapped awake with a startled cry, bolting upright.

| Zero was immediately awakened when X cried out and sat up. He managed to sit up without making the cyber elf fall off of him and he held X. He could tell that the brunette had had a really bad nightmare to bolt awake like that. "Are you okay.?" He asked concerned.

It was a nightmare he hadn't had in a few years. Not since right before Zero was reawakened. Zero knew which one he was referring to. He knew that the nightmare was usually absolutely terrifying while he was trapped in it, but when he woke up he could only recall snippets of it.
Namely being choked to death.

| Zero rested his chin on X's head gently and just held the cyber elf. He sighed a bit. He knew he had a reason to worry about the virus. Usually X only had nightmares about it when it was awake. He had a sudden urge to run a scan on his systems. "X, I think we should scan my systems." He said pulling away slightly to look at the brunette. He needed X to work the computer, otherwise a scan wasn't happening.

| Zero waited somewhat impatiently for the scan to finish. He wouldn't know what the results were until he got out and looked at the console. Thankfully though he felt fine. It didn't feel like the virus had awakened, but then again sometimes he never even realized he'd gone Maverick until he was back to normal.

| Zero could tell something was worrying X. He would know what it was soon enough so he didn't bother asking. Although he could tell that messages were popping up just from the change in brightness.

The amount of warning messages seemed like they wouldn't end. Zero ended up gripping his head and gritting his teeth. Damn.. He didn't feel like he was even in the pod anymore.

Zero snapped back to reality after the last message appeared on the console. He was himself, but he felt sick. He'd probably feel worse after he saw what was on the console.

He couldn't speak. He couldn't even move. He was absolutely frozen in terror.
He really was back.
((OK, gotta be honest...that last line where the virus contacted him sounded like something right out of a horror movie. And it scared the crap outta me.))

Zero tried to force himself to sit up, but the pod trapped him inside seemingly on its own. It even strapped him down. "What the-?!" He cut himself off with a groan as the pod shocked him. It was trying to shut him down.

SUBJECT QUARANTINED.
SHUT DOWN PROTOCOLS INITIATED.
ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM ACTIVATED.
Zero cried out and arched his back in pain. He struggled to try and get out of the pod, but with no success. The antivirus program was tearing up his insides, or at least it felt like it.

FIREWALL SECURITY INCREASED.
ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM CONCENTRATED.

X snapped back to awareness when he heard Zero cry out in pain. He was on his feet in an instant, trying fervently to override the protocols that were shutting the blonde down. With the virus in this state, if Zero shut down it would run rampant. He tried to ignore the fact that the virus was actually talking to them via the monitor.
The console suddenly sparked violently. X drew back with a yelp of pain as his hands were shocked and burned. The console immediately locked him out.

| X began to shake from fear when he heard that demented laughter. He knew it too well from the Eurasia incident. He stumbled backwards, away from the pod, but his back wound up against a wall after just a few moments. The brunette slid down the wall, sitting curled up against it as close as possible.
That pod would open soon. The restraints would be removed. Then he would be able to attack.
And X couldn't do anything. He wasn't strong enough to fight the virus.

| Zero easily punched a hole in the glass above him and removed it. He sat up and ripped out the cords, causing them to drape down his back and sparked rather often. He started to stalk over to X. But the worst part about it was probably that his eyes kept changing from bright red, to a deep blue. The grin never left his face though. He grabbed X's arm and hauled him up before grabbing the brunettes chin. "Didn't you miss me X? I missed you." he said his voice still distorted and strange. It probably had something to do with the fact that they seemed to keep switching back and forth.

| All X could let out was a small whimper. He was frozen with fear, both that the virus was awake, but also because it seemed that it was both Zero AND the virus controlling the same body.
He wanted to scream. He wanted to run. However, his body refused to let him.
He was still shaking. No doubt the virus saw that. All he could do was wonder how the virus would torture him before he killed him.

| The second X saw that purplish-pink aura slowly creeping toward him, he started trying to pull out of Zero's hold, but failing. His body just would not obey him. The virus hadn't already infected him, had it?
X managed to move just enough to get his chin out of Zero's hold, but his body immediately froze afterward, though he doubted Zero would notice and just try to pin him again.

| X pulled away from Zero and looked at the blonde in shock. He wanted to be sealed away again?
The brunette had mixed feelings about it. He wanted to respect Zero's request, but at the same time he felt his heart drop like a lead weight. He'd just gotten Zero back, and he had no idea how long it would take for Zero to deal with the virus. It could take a few hours, it could take a few YEARS.
He wasn't sure what to say.
I wish I could avoid violence...but if I did, this world wouldn't be able to live in peace. So I will fight for this world, to protect humans and Reploids alike.

| Zero knew how X felt. He didn't enjoy the idea either, but it was the best choice that they had. "If I don't wake within a day then wake me up with a protocol code." He said knowing that the cyber elf didn't want him to do this. Hopefully if he was only in hibernation for a day then he wouldn't have any side effects. Regardless, he needed to be sealed away. At least for that short amount of time.

| X hesitated, but eventually nodded. "....Promise me you'll be you when you wake up..." he whispered softly.
He didn't want Zero to not be himself when he woke up. He dreaded the thought of him entering the code and waking the virus instead of Zero.
But, if this was what Zero wanted, he would oblige. X led Zero to a lab in the basement of the Resistance Base, the one Axl had been asleep in. The pod was still in working condition, so it was possible to use it. He set up everything before Zero could get in, setting the console up to wake him up in exactly twenty-four hours after it put him into stasis.
The brunette stood on his tiptoes and kissed Zero quickly before quickly leaving the lab.

| Zero couldn't exactly promise that he would still be himself, but he nodded anyway. He just wanted to reassure X. He waited by the 'doorway' while X set up the pod and returned the quick kiss before getting into the pod. It immediately put him into stasis and he was quickly at war with the virus. He'd only know what happened after he woke up the next day.

| X hurried back to his room and locked the door, sitting on the bed with his knees pulled up to his chest and his face buried against his knees.
The brunette was terrified. He knew there was no guarantee that Zero would be himself after this was said and done, and he feared that when Zero woke up there was a chance it would be the virus and not him.
Eventually the brunette fell asleep. He remained asleep, even after the command prompt woke Zero up and the blonde was out of the pod.

| When Zero had awoken he was extremely groggy. For a moment he didn't know where he was. He finally pushed himself out of the pod however and made his way back upstairs. He wasn't sure where he was going until he realized he was standing outside X's room.
He hesitated for a moment before going inside. The virus somehow easily picked the lock allowing him to enter. He ended up collapsing on the bed next to the brunette. He pulled X against him and was half asleep. It would take a little while for all of his systems to come back online again.

| X opened his eyes groggily when he felt himself being moved. Looking up explained everything he needed to know. Zero had wandered into his room--which was locked--and plopped down on his bed and pulled X closer to him.
".....Did it work....?" he asked sleepily.

| It took a moment for him to even register that X spoke and another few seconds to understand what the brunette had said. "I'm not sure." He answered his words slightly slurred. "But I think we're okay for now." It was hard for him to tell if it worked or not since a majority of his systems were still offline. "You could do a scan with my systems." He suggested, not having enough coordination at the moment to do that. He could pull up the holo screen, but he'd have some trouble actually typing on it.

| X visibly tensed when Zero mentioned running a scan, but relaxed as quickly as he could, noting that Zero's reactions were sluggish. Hopefully he didn't even notice. X was still rather shaken up by the virus directly communicating to him through a monitor. "A-alright..." he agreed.

| Zero did notice that X had become rather tense, but it was after the brunette had spoken. His reaction timing was terrible. He pulled up the holo screen and moved it so that X could use it. If the cyber elf didn't want to he didn't have to, but he didn't say it out loud. It took a rather long time for his thoughts to actually become vocal so he didn't bother.
